How It Began
The name “Muscle Math” actually came from a moment with my daughter. A few years ago, I was heading to a coaching seminar and she asked me, “Where are we going?” I told her, “To a class.” She looked up and asked, “Math class?” I laughed and replied, “Yeah… muscle math.” My wife and I looked at each other and laughed — but something about that name stuck with us. We jokingly said, “If I ever start my own coaching business, that has to be the name.” Fast forward a couple of years, and with the encouragement of friends and family, I decided to take the leap.
Fitness and nutrition have been lifelong passions for me. I’ve been an athlete for as long as I can remember — from team sports as a kid, to martial arts in college, to years spent in weight rooms and training mats as an adult. I found CrossFit around 2011, and that eventually led me to Olympic weightlifting, where I really fell in love with the technical side of strength training. But the truth is, I’ve been in gyms since I was 14 years old. This lifestyle is part of who I am.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work with some incredible coaches in fitness, strength, performance, and nutrition. And I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is to have someone in your corner — not just shouting motivation, but really guiding you: when to push harder, when to back off, and when to rest. That experience stuck with me, and it’s part of why I started Muscle Math.
I believe everyone deserves to feel strong, healthy, and capable in their own body. My mission is to help people get there through simple, sustainable habits built around smart training and personalized nutrition. I’m not here to hand out cookie-cutter plans or crash diets. I’m here to help you figure out what works for you, step by step — and to be that person in your corner, just like others have been for me.
